Codebasics QuizMaster — Privacy Policy

When you participate in quizzes through the Codebasics QuizMaster Discord bot, we collect:

• Discord User ID and Username — to identify participants and display leaderboards
• Quiz Responses — your answers, response times, and whether each answer was correct
• Scores and Streaks — points earned, current/best streaks, weekly/monthly/all-time totals
• Server Information — Discord server (guild) IDs where the bot is active

2. How We Use Your Data

• Calculate and display quiz scores and leaderboards
• Track weekly and monthly performance for reward distribution
• Generate quiz statistics and analytics for server administrators

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on our secure infrastructure. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Access to the database is restricted to authorized administrators only.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Leaderboard data (username, scores, ranks) is visible to other members of the same Discord server.

5. Data Retention

Your quiz data is retained as long as you are a member of a Discord server using the bot. Historical leaderboard snapshots are kept permanently for award/reward verification purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of your personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of data collection by leaving the Discord server

7. Cookies

The admin dashboard uses a session cookie to maintain your login state. This cookie is essential for the dashboard to function and expires after 24 hours. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
